Start with the right context

1. Select the project you are working on in the sidebar.
2. Start a new chat and describe your question. Name the drawing, specification, or regulation if you know which source matters.
3. Attach files to the message for a particular question, or add them to the project Library for ongoing work.

Find documents in Library

Library separates Project files, Regulatory documents, and Organization Documents. With a project selected, you can see the files and regulations associated with that project.

1. Open Library and use Search library to find a document.
2. Open a result to inspect the document. Content matches can take you to relevant passages.
3. If a file was just uploaded, wait for processing to finish before asking questions about its contents.

Read the supporting passage

A cited passage helps you assess an answer. It does not replace checking which requirement applies to the work.

1. Open a citation in the answer.
2. Read the referenced passage and the surrounding text in the document viewer.
3. Check the document version and whether the requirement applies to your project.
4. Ask a follow-up question if the answer is missing context or two sources disagree.

Keep the question specific

Include the location, building use, element type, or project stage when it affects the answer. If a source is missing, add it rather than asking Arkyv to infer your firm’s requirements.
