Does Arkyv use Claude?
Yes. Arkyv runs on the latest models from Anthropic and OpenAI, including Claude. We benchmark them regularly on real BIM tasks and use whichever performs best for the work, so you don’t have to track model releases yourself.
Is Arkyv an MCP server?
No, but it works in a similar way. Arkyv’s plugin gives the AI model access to your live Revit, Rhino, or Archicad model and the tools to act on it. Because we build both sides, there is nothing to configure on each machine and nothing to keep in sync when Revit updates.
Can I connect Claude to Revit myself?
Yes. Open-source MCP servers for Revit let an individual connect Claude Desktop to their model, which is a good way to experiment. Arkyv is for when a firm wants that capability for everyone: one installer, reviewed changes, shared workflows, admin controls, and support.
Is our project data used to train AI models?

Which Revit versions does Arkyv support?
Revit 2024, 2025, and 2026, with Revit 2027 coming soon. Arkyv also works in Rhino 7 and 8, including Grasshopper, and Archicad 26 and later.
Can Arkyv change my model without asking?
Not unless you let it. Arkyv shows the affected elements and proposed values before changes run, and every edit can be undone in Revit. You can choose to approve workflows you trust automatically.
