Yes. New Family is free to use, with no login and no credit card. It is built and sponsored by Arkyv.
What can I give it?
A product URL, a manufacturer cut sheet or drawing, a photo, or a written description. Today, product links give the most reliable results. Cut sheets are improving quickly.
Are the families parametric?
Yes. Every family is parametric, so you can adjust sizes and parameters in the browser before you download it, and keep flexing it in Revit afterwards.
Which kinds of families can it make?
Furniture, casework, plumbing fixtures, lighting, electrical devices, HVAC terminals, piping components, and more. Families can be free-standing, wall-hosted, or face-based.
Which Revit versions are supported?
Families are built natively for Revit 2025 and Revit 2026, in metric or imperial units.
Can it edit a family I already have?
Not yet. New Family creates new families. Editing existing .rfa files is something we are looking at, so tell us if your team needs it.
What is the shortcut for product links?
Add new.family/ in front of a product page address in your browser. New Family opens with that link and starts on your family straight away.
